08 / COMPLIANCE

Compliance and policy

Normalize evidence.
Keep accountability explicit.

Karvo coordinates KYB, KYC, UBO, screening, institutional policy, approvals and case evidence while recording which regulated participant owns each requirement and decision.

Control sequence / 01

Compliance is multidimensional—not a single verified flag.

01

Collect

Legal-entity identifiers, directors, UBOs, document metadata, purpose and provider requirements

02

Screen

AML, sanctions and PEP results with jurisdiction, source, rule version, status and expiry

03

Assess

Transaction monitoring, fraud signals, velocity limits, corridor rules and institutional policy

04

Approve

Maker-checker, creator separation, thresholds and additional review for higher-risk conditions

05

Evidence

Preserve responsible party, decision, references, timestamps, changes and case resolution

Institutional approvals / 02

Four-eyes control is configurable and enforceable.

Approval policies bind to the transaction before authorization and can evaluate amount, corridor, currency, beneficiary, user role, institution, risk, compliance state and payment type.

01

Creator separation

A maker cannot approve the transfer they created when policy requires separation.

02

Threshold approval

Higher-value payments can require multiple independent checker decisions.

03

Compliance review

A beneficiary, corridor or risk signal can place the transfer into an explicit review state.

04

Versioned policy

Every decision retains the policy version, actor, reason, time and evidence used.

Responsibility model / 03

Shared flow does not mean blurred accountability.
